Three Quarters Disapprove of Bill C-13

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1433 Canadians 18 years of age and older, fully three quarters disagreed with the central provisions of the federal government's 'anti-cyber bullying law', or bill C-13 (73%) and just 1-in-7 approve (15%).

Vast majority want CRTC to regulate cable, satellite fees

TORONTO JUNE 18th, 2014 – In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1341 Canadians 18 years of age and older who were aware of how much they spent on cable and satellite TV, virtually all (92%) say cable and satellite fees are too high, and 7-in-10 use the strongest term ("much too high" - 70%).

Liberals lead in 2 Federal by-elections

TORONTO, JUNE 19th, 2014 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among voters in three of the four federal ridings where by-elections will take place on June 30, the Liberals have strong leads in two, while the Conservatives have an insurmountable lead in a third.

Federal Liberals consolidate lead

4-in-10 will vote Liberal if a federal election were held today (39%), compared to 3-in-10 who will vote Conservative (31%), and this represents a very slight widening in the Liberal lead since we last polled (May 22, Liberal - 36%, Conservative - 30%). Just fewer than one fifth will vote NDP (19%) and this represents a decline since last month (23%). Few will vote Green (5%) or Bloc Quebecois (4%) or for other parties (1%).

Support For Assisted Suicide Increases

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1433 Canadians 18 years of age and older, more than half said prostitution should be legal (54%), compared to just one third who say it should not be (34%). One tenth have no opinion (12%).
