Young high-income males in Northern Ontario

TORONTO JULY 3rd, 2014 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 810 Ontario adults, one half would like to see speed limits on the province's 400 series highways increased (48%), while just fewer (45%) would not like this to happen. Very few have no opinion on this question (7%).

Interest in increased speed limits is common to younger (35 to 44 - 58%) males (57%) in higher income brackets ($80K to $100K - 63%, $100K to $250K - 60%) in Northern Ontario (58%). PC supporters are slightly more likely (52%) than New Democrats (45%) to approve.

The usual suspects are the ones with the need for speed - younger males. The wide open spaces in the north appear to be especially inviting, too," said Forum Research President, Dr. Lorne Bozinoff.
