Overall? Transit Riders are Fairly Satisfied

Toronto, May 29th, 2019 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1936 randomly selected transit users in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Montreal 16 years of age and older, transit users in Montreal (TOP2: 76%) and Vancouver (TOP2: 73%) are generally the most satisfied with their city’s transit system.

To Most TTC Users, Service Is A-OK

Toronto, May 29th, 2019 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1936 randomly selected transit users in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Montreal 16 years of age and older, about two-thirds (TOP2: 68%) of transit riders in Toronto say they are satisfied with the TTC, but only about one-sixth (16%) say they are very satisfied.

Edmonton Transit Service Users Pleased

Toronto, May 29th, 2019 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1936 randomly selected transit users in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Montreal 16 years of age and older, two-thirds (TOP2: 66%) of Edmonton transit users say they are satisfied with the ETS, with almost 1 in 5 (19%) saying they are very satisfied and almost half 47%) saying they are somewhat satisfied.

Toronto, May 29th, 2019 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1936 randomly selected transit users in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Montreal 16 years of age and older, amongst those transit riders in Calgary, the majority (TOP2: 70%) say they are satisfied with Calgary transit. A fifth (19%) say they are very satisfied and half (51%) say they are somewhat satisfied.

High Satisfaction with STM

Toronto, May 29th, 2019 - In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1936 randomly selected transit users in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Montreal 16 years of age and older, a majority of Montreal users are satisfied with STM (TOP2: 76%), with a third being very satisfied (29%) and a half saying somewhat satisfied (47%). One-fourth (BTM2: 24%) are not satisfied, with one-sixth (16%) somewhat dissatisfied and a few (7%) very dissatisfied.

Toronto, May 22nd — In a random sampling of public opinion taken by Forum Research among 1082 Canadians 19 years of age or older, on behalf of Rothmans, Benson & Hedges, over half (56%) of respondents who smoke regularly or occasionally, and have never used tobacco reduced risk products, plan to change from smoking cigarettes. 4 in 10 (44%) do not plan on changing.
